The monument on the horn!

by Chis.

Above is the monument that shows the location of this Cape Kamui. It is part of Shakotan Peninsula of Hokkaido Island.
The bright blue color of the ocean shows the lack of nutrition for kelp and seaweed.
Snorkeling around this cape may be fascinating albeit cruising around this area might be dangerous for ships.
The northern coast of the cape seemed to be darker than the opposite side. The seabed and the rocks seemed to be covered with kelp and seaweed. That may be because of the current from the north.
This coast line leads to the northern end of Hokkaido, yes, Wakkanai City. We headed to this direction to drop by Cape Shakotan.
To be continued.
